ARMAR-6 understands when to grasp objects from workers, how to navigate autonomously around obstacles like boxes or humans, and has speech recognition. The robot assists workers while maintaining natural interactions to provide a steady workflow.
“The results of this project have shown categorically how robots can amplify the benefits of human expertise,” said Graham Deacon, a robotics research fellow at Ocado Technology.
