One hundred engineers, several designers, and three award-winning chefs have created a kitchen robot that cooks and cleans. It can be tiresome for busy professionals to cook and clean their kitchen every day. This new robot imitates human movements to make this daily chore easy.
The robot has several sensors and optical cameras to fulfill its duties. The optical system can even detect dropped food. The robot can prepare 30 dishes, but the team hopes to have a digital menu of 5000 choices.
"This means the robot kitchen can retrieve ingredients from the smart fridge, adjust hob temperature, use the sink to fill pans and pour, mix and plate up just as a human cook would. The robot even cleans up after itself — without complaint!"
This robot could help those with disabilities to navigate kitchens more conveniently. It would also help busy families and any person that needs guidance in the kitchen.
