There is a new semi-autonomous robot that performs ceiling drilling for the overhead jobs in trade industries. Many construction workers are short staff and become stressed about overhead work and safety measures. The Jaibot helps overall productivity and keeps workers safe.
The Jaibot is remotely controlled by a worker and uses reference data from a robotic total station, the Hilti PLT 300. It can automatically drill nearby holes. This brings higher efficiency to the worksite.
"From the beginning, it was important for us to develop a robotic solution that supports our customers where it is most needed. The Hilti Jaibot takes over the most strenuous and exhausting tasks, working alongside the installation team," said Julia Zanona, Product Manager for Robotics at Hilti.
Robots like the Jaibot can transform the trade industry by bringing innovative ways to shorten repetitive installation workload, increase productivity, and protect workers from common safety hazards.
