Robots are changing the way the fast-food industry serves food during the pandemic. Fast-food workers put themselves at risk every day with shortages of servers in the new work environment. Robots like Flippy Robot-on-a-Rail (ROAR) and Blendid create smarter and safer methods for feeding the public.
Flippy (ROAR) is an autonomous griller that prepares fries and burgers. It uses artificial intelligence to identify both the temperature and type of food it is cooking. Blendid is a smoothie maker that makes drinks in three minutes, making up to 45 drinks an hour and nine drinks simultaneously.
"Capable of identifying temperatures, predicting time remaining to meet consistency in taste perfection, and alerting staff of unsafe internal cooking temperatures, ROAR features powerful image processing and depth perception from Intel RealSense technology," Miso Robotics said.
Robots in the food industry protect front line workers and the public while also pushing the bar of operation standards higher.
